T hank you to all who helped to make our UAFP 3rd annual CME-n-Ski conference a success! The conference was held on February 22-25, 2018 at the Westgate Resort & Spa in Park City, Utah. It was a photogenic and fun venue with convenient ski in/ski out access to America’s largest ski resort, Park City Mountain Resort (recently consolidated with the Canyons ski resort). We had approximately 90 Registrants and offered over 15 CME credits. Topics included ADHD diagnosis, concussion management, hypertension control, menopause, sleep health, stroke care, and several others. We also had a poster session, with 6 posters submitted by medical students and residents; Congratulations to Sean Peterson, a 3rd year resident at St. Mark’s, who had the winning poster. We got positive reviews overall from attendees. The UAFP Education Committee is excited to start planning next year’s conference. If you would like to help with the planning process, know of a great speaker, or have constructive feedback so we can make the conference even better, please contact our Program Director, Barbara Bassett at Barbara.Bassett@utahafp.org . — Marlana Li, MD; UAFP Education Committee CME•n•Ski We hope to see you next year! 2019 UAFP CME-n-Ski Conference will be held at the Westgate Hotel in Park City, UT on February 21-24, 2019 17 |
