It got started with the opening social event in September where UAFP board member Dr. Pete Sundwall spoke about his journey through family medicine. Over 100 students attended. Throughout the following months a number of work- shops were led by the different family medicine residencies in Utah including Mckay-Dee in Ogden, Univ. of Utah, St. Marks, and Utah Valley. Suturing, joint injections, casting, and OB procedures were covered. Other events included lunch lectures and various activities. In March, FMIG hosted the family medicine resi- dency fair where residencies from Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, and Indiana came and spoke about their programs to the students. On March 16th, 16 students matched into some of the nation’s premier family medicine programs. This was one of the biggest years in recent history! A very successful year for FMIG and without the support from UAFP many of these activities could not have been possible.  | 16
